The Lord blessed Grandparents Of America and the JJ Rose Foundation, with all of the Avion Healthcare Philippines team, including the Regional Director, Meriam Rose, to work together with the Baranggay Captain, Hon. Jerome Agustin and his wife, Angelica Agustin, in conjunction with his Baranggay councils , local Baranggay police force, all of the Avion volunteer team, BHW, who all generously gave of their time to organize and distribute food and nutrition bags to over 500 people in the Philippines Province of Negros Occidental, Town of Cauayan, Baranggay of ISIO. Avion Healthcare Philippine' looks forward to serving this community in the future as well, and give all who helped a big THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts to all of those that made this happen for these beautiful people! Typhoon Odette/ Ria Philippines & Avion Healthcare Outreach Food / Medical Program
When Typhoon Odette tore through the Philippines, leaving communities in darkness and devastation, YourShortsBuddy Avion Group Foundation mobilized quickly with a boots-on-the-ground response. Our local volunteers braved flooded streets, downed power lines, and dangerous debris to reach the hardest-hit barangays. We distributed emergency food packs, potable drinking water, and essential hygiene kits containing soap, disinfectants, and sanitary supplies. Medical teams conducted first-aid assistance, wound cleaning, and wellness checks to help those injured or ill in the aftermath. For families who lost their homes, we coordinated temporary shelter support with tarpaulins, blankets, and sleeping mats to ensure they had a safe place to rest while recovery began.
Beyond immediate relief, our team worked to restore hope and stability. Volunteers assisted in clearing debris, setting up mobile charging stations for communication, and helping reconnect families separated during the storm. We provided counseling and psychosocial support for children and elderly residents traumatized by the disaster. Partnering with local organizations, we supported livelihood recovery initiatives—helping fisherfolk, farmers, and small vendors get back to work. Typhoon Odette may have brought destruction, but through compassion, coordination, and the unyielding spirit of our volunteers, we turned crisis into community solidarity.
McDonalds & Avion Healthcare Outreach Nogales Mexico & Arizona USA
McDonalds & Avion Healthcare partnered to offer Well Checks & FREE COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 Testing for ALL ages and citizenship status. Avion's Mobile Medical Unit was parked at the border area in the Crawford Blvd McDonald's parking lot with the thanks to Yasmine, the McDonald's proprietor. Avion offered a $25 McDonald's gift card for the first 100 patients. That exceeded in the first 3 hours as the day went on to 125+ patients. Turnout was better than expected says Director of the program, "James Rose." The partnership between Avion Healthcare & McDonald's is expected to be a regular monthly event, with the goal of getting as many people as possible crossing the U.S. Mexico borders tested and treated who make United States their home, says Executive Director of Grandparents of America and The JJ Rose Foundation, "Mara Maldonado." Avion is also performing follow-up COVID management care for 5 to 59 days to make sure the new UNINSURED U.S. residents do not spread COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 into the U.S. communities.
